About this event
The Gault Center presents: Defending the Rights and Interests of Trans, Nonbinary, and Gender Diverse Youth in the Juvenile Legal System.
Join youth defense professionals from across the country to discuss what's happening on-the-ground and to hear from LGBTQ+ youth rights experts about how to face new and persistent challenges. Attendees will be encouraged to share their challenges and successes, explore strategies and resources, and ask questions. Currey Cook and Luna Isaiah Floyd from Lambda Legal and Melanie Roberts from Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services will share best practices for supporting trans and nonbinary youth clients and brainstorm about how to advocate with trans and nonbinary youth in the legal system.
More information about the speakers can be found on the registration page.
