What is this?
Join the JDRC for a two-session free CLE where we will focus on the use of expert witnesses in litigating transfer hearings as well as best practices for attorneys in working with expert witnesses in developing and implementing their legal strategy.
In the first hour, hear from Dr. Antoinette Kavanaugh on how to approach and work with an expert witness when your youthful client is facing transfer to adult court. In the second session, Dr. Kavanaugh will be joined by a mitigation specialist and public defenders to discuss best practices for attorneys in working with expert witnesses in developing and implementing their legal strategy.
To register, please email Sue Sitki (susan.sitki@osad.state.il.us), and include your ARDC number if you wish to receive CLE for the training. Registrants will receive a Zoom link for the program via e-mail.
Panelists and presenters for this online training will include:
* Dr. Antoinette Kavanaugh
* Elizabeth Kooy
* A.P.D. Tamir Sirkin
* Public Defender Ron Lewis
