Roadmap to Justice Reform: Specialized Courts, Probation & Corrections for Emerging Adults
Building upon a groundswell of voices for change, jurisdictions across the U.S. are seeking new models for the treatment and care of emerging adults (ages 18 - 25) in the criminal justice system. This webinar will launch the publication of a series of three Key Element Briefs produced by the Emerging Adult Justice Learning Community at the Columbia University Justice Lab, examining specific emerging practices and offering guidance on key elements important to consider in both the design and implementation of the innovative practices. Our distinguished speakers will provide highlights of the “Key Elements” focusing on the development of specialized courts, specialized probation, and specialized correctional units.

The Emerging Adult Justice Learning Community is a collaborative learning environment that brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates twice a year over a three-year period to create developmentally appropriate, effective, and fair criminal justice responses.
