Addressing the Intersections of Youth Legal System Involvement and Homelessness: Principles for Change

This program was presented by the Illinois Collaboration on Youth in April of 2022.
In this program, panelists discuss findings from a recent report from the Coalition for Juvenile Justice on the intersection juvenile court involvement and youth experiencing housing instability, including 10 principles for change to avoid unnecessary court system involvement, and practical advice for defenders representing these youth. You can find the Coalition for Juvenile Justice report discussed in this program HERE.
