The Gault Center & YEAH Philly will be discussing their forthcoming report, "Revolutionizing Probation from Punishment to Community-Led Safety." Specifically, the webinar will cover shifting narratives around juvenile probation—to challenge the dominant rhetoric that probation is an act of benevolence that keeps youth and communities safe and to bring to light the ways probation controls, harms, and surveils as reported by young people and analyzed through the history of juvenile probation in our country. We will also offer narrative strategies to translate the realities of juvenile probation into effective advocacy to create change.
