About this event
Join the Coalition for Juvenile Justice for the official launch of their new brief, developed with support from the Raikes Foundation, which explores the unique intersection between youth homelessness and youth justice involvement. This webinar will introduce the brief and highlight the relationship between housing instability and system involvement. The brief explains the McKinney-Vento Act, highlights root causes of homelessness, uplifts model programs focused on prevention and intervention, and raises awareness of federal funding streams that can support cross-sector responses. This project aims to encourage State Advisory Groups, juvenile justice agencies, and practitioners to deepen their understanding of this crossover and take action in their own communities to promote collaborative, cross-sector solutions.
