About this event
The Gault Center will be hosting a virtual training for youth defenders and advocates on what youth defenders can do to protect the rights of immigrant youth in juvenile court.
Featuring Rachel Prandini from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center and Elizabeth Lincoln from the Fresno County Public Defender Office, this training will provide updates on the landscape of immigration enforcement and offer concrete steps youth defense teams can take to safeguard youth rights, including a nuts-and-bolts overview of obtaining Special Immigrant Juvenile Status orders in juvenile court.
Registration is free and open to all youth defense professionals (e.g., youth defense lawyers, social workers, mitigation specialists, investigators, policy advocates).
