About this event
In January, 2025, the federal Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention released two reports: Report to Congress and the White House: Fiscal Year 2023-2024 and the Independent Practitioner Report on Youth Justice. Both reports issue recommendations and action plans that are grounded in the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act’s (JJDPA’s) purpose and speak to the importance of a full continuum of care for youth to ensure young people have what they need to thrive.
In this webinar, we will hear from two National Youth Justice Network members – Jason Smith, Executive Director of the Michigan Center for Youth Justice (MCYJ), and Dana Walter Flores, Colorado Campaign Coordinator of the Youth Justice Team for the National Center for Youth Law, about the ongoing work in their states to establish a continuum of care for youth. Come join us to gain further information and share insights on how to move this work forward in your state.
