About this event

The Western Region of The Gault Center, in collaboration with the San Francisco Public Defender, Washington State Office of Public Defense, and the State of Hawaii Office of the Public Defender invites you to attend, "Understanding Sex Offense Treatment and Assessments—Using the Latest Research to Effectively Advocate for Your Clients."

This two-hour training will feature Dr. Daniel Rothman (https://fpspsychealth.com/portfolio-item/daniel-rothman/), a researcher and treatment provider who has become an expert in best practices for treating youth who are accused of or have been adjudicated of sex offenses.

The information will help defenders serve as strong advocates during the negotiation and pre-trial preparation phases, and at the disposition and post-disposition phases. This training is designed for youth defense attorneys, social workers, and other members of the defense team.
