About this event
Join Juvenile Justice Initiative as they examine the state of Illinois' Juvenile Court system - highlighting the reforms necessary to once again lead the world in providing justice for children. Panelists from the Juvenile Justice Initiative's Board of Directors will compare today's Juvenile Court with the fundamental rights afforded children in other developed nations, and will highlight emerging trends and issues in children's rights.
Panelists are expected to include:
Michael D. Rodriguez, Alderman of Chicago's 22nd Ward;
Herschella Conyers, Clinical Professor in Public Interest Law and the Director of the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic's Criminal and Juvenile Justice Project at the University of Chicago Law School;
Scott Main, Assistant Director of the JDRC;
Keyria Rodgers, Director of Criminal Justice/Professor of Criminal Justice - Millikin University;
Joshua Brooks, Restorative Justice Hubs Coordinator at Adler University
