About this event
The Gault Center’s Great Lakes Region will be hosting a virtual training program on youth sex offense registration laws.
Youth registration changed exponentially in 2007, following the passage of the Federal Adam Walsh Act and the promise of Byrne Grant funding for states that passed substantially-compliant legislation in their own jurisdictions. Since then, challenges to the law and its applicability to children have drastically changed whether and how it is applied to youth. This training will detail the juvenile sex offender registration requirements of the Great Lakes Region of the Gault Center.
This is a two day training. Part 1 will focus on registration in Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.
CLE credit is expected.
