About this event
Brendan Max, the Chief of the Forensic Science Division of the Cook County Public Defender Office, will host “Litigating ShotSpotter Evidence: The Science and the Law,” and explore the reliability of ShotSpotter evidence. ShotSpotter’s gunshot detection systems, currently deployed in over 100 cities in the U.S., are designed to provide police with real-time alerts of possible gunfire. This webinar will identify the legal and 4th amendment strategies that defense lawyers can use to challenge this evidence.

This webinar is presented by NACDL's Fourth Amendment Center.
