About this event

Coalition for Juvenile Justice invites you to an insightful webinar hosted in partnership with Huntington Learning Center, titled "Academic Adversity & Justice System Involvement: A Reciprocal Relationship."

Huntington Learning Center, the nation’s oldest provider of tutoring and supplemental education, presents an informative webinar about the bidirectional relationship between academic adversity and juvenile justice system involvement.

This webinar will explore:

• The reciprocal relationship between unmet educational needs and juvenile justice system involvement

• The way in which supplemental educational support can address academic deficiencies and lead to better youth, family, and community outcomes

• The differences between special education and supplemental education, and how both can best be leveraged for positive youth development

• The advantages of providing evidence-based instructional intervention through community partnerships at all points along the Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention’s Continuum of Care
