#Final5Fridays are a public meeting where they discuss recent updates in the movement to end youth incarceration. This week, a conversation with Moms United Against Violence and Incarceration (MUAVI) about the impact of incarceration on parents and families in Illinois.<br /><br />SPEAKERS<br /><br />Alicia Brown is a Final 5 Campaign Youth Leader with experience in restorative justice facilitation and think tank coordination. She was formerly incarcerated and is a mother who works to free all youth from incarceration.<br /><br />Sherrif Polk "Da Greatest, Never Forget The Face" is a leader of Circle & Ciphers, a Chicago based restorative justice organization led by and for young people impacted by violence. Sherrif has facilitated restorative justice circles and trainings at: Harvard Law School, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard Kennedy School, Yale Law School, NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, Warner Brothers/Atlantic Recorders, and more. He is a father who has been impacted by incarceration and house arrest.<br /><br />Paris Knox is an organizer, advocate, and survivor of long-term incarceration. She is a mother and currently organizes with MUAVI.
